Is there anyway to run the Acer One on the battery and have the processor run the same speed as when connected to A/C? Other laptops I've owned have had that option. It does "BURN" battery, but if I'm in a spot where I only need an hour or so from the battery, I would like the option of giving my Acer a little kick in the rear.

It's amazing how much quicker webpages load on A/C verses battery operation. If this is possible, I sure can't find the option in Control Panel.

Try the "Always On" or "Minimal Power Management" profiles. Click on the battery icon in the System Tray and select the profile.

That seems to work. It does "burn" battery, but I can live with it as I like the increased "POP".
