My AC adapter is plugged in, but my battery icon shows the battery, slowly draining. I'm not getting the normal orange light with the Aspire is shut off. Is it more likely that I have a bad adapter or a bad power jack on my AAO? Is there some fixable thing that could be stopping it from showing power?

have you solved your problem? I'm having the same problem - no battery light, ac adapter and power cord all connected, and the battery icon slowly draining.

That happened to me, too. But pushing the charger plug fully into the AA1 solved my problem. I hope your solution is as simple!

The cord from the wall to the adapter can also come loose. But I too once 'thought' it was plugged in to the Acer, and it wasn't. Was an easy fix.
