    Howdy,

I have 170 Acer TravelMate laptops which pre-logon to our network with the Intel PROset/Wireless software. This software works very well and we're very happy with it. However, we purchased 3 test Acer Aspire One machines (purcashing 155 more soon) and unfortunately the machines don't have a Intel WLAN card anymore... I tried searching the card manufacturers website for pre-logon software, as we do to get the latest version of the PROset/Wireless software, but there doesn't seem to be any (that I've found). At the moment is there any similar software available that will work with these Netbook machines available?

    Regards,

    Mark

You might try Network Magic. You can download a trial version and see if it works. I don't have the link but you can google it.

XP or Linux? Im using Acers own eNet management software on my One with Vista installed and it works fine, having setup seperate profiles for Home and Work.

Under XP select -Wireless Network Connection Properties - Wireless Networks - click Properties for your Preferred Network. Then select Connection and tick "Connect when this network is in range". Click OK twice.

    Under Linux I don't know.

    Hope this helps..somewhat!

Found Atheros AR5xxx Client Utility 5.2.0.125 today http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Atheros-AR5xxx-Client-Utility-520125-Download-35242.html
