So far Buy.com is the only major e-tailer I can find taking preorders for Onyx Black, and I don't really trust them. Amazon of course has still-active mystery links for the white and sapphire blue but their listing for OB is not yet taking preorders. Are there any other reputable places that have preorder links for these?

I bought one from NCIX last Friday. Picked it up from one of their Canadian stores. Give them a try, last time I looked they were shipping them. Roger

Roger: Yeah, I noticed NCIX had them but based on context clues I assumed it was the Canadian bilingual keyboard layout, which I'm really hoping to avoid. Did you get lucky and get a US layout from them somehow? :) Thanks!

Nah, it's the Canadian bilingual keyboard, but I'm such a bad typist that I haven't really noticed the difference.......yet.

Amazon.com is finally allowing pre-orders for the Onyx Black:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FBW1NC/

I've now got a pre-order with both Amazon.com and J&R. We'll see which one ends up getting my business. Game on, guys.
