Here's a bit of news from these parts.

The Eee Pc 901 has been at the top of the charts since it came out a month or so back. Its the 12GB version, running XP. It was priced at 59,900 yen for most of that time, but since the release of the Aspire One (120GB, 1GB, 3-cell, XP) on Aug. 23rd at 54,800 yen Asus has dramatically slashed prices.

As of this moment, the A1 is 54,000 and the 901 is 52,000.

Yep, where the 901 is over $150 more expensive than the One in the US, here in Japan its effectively $20 cheaper!

Remember the 901 has bluethooth, wireless N, and high capacity battery as well as a high-rez webcam.

    Crazyness.
