I have the Aspire 8GB SSD with 8GB SD card with Linpus Lite O/S.
I have installed a user/password login as Linpus did not have one.
That is the only change I've made.
I have created a bootable USB stick using Unetbootin with Linux Mint10 on.

I have run through the install process twice now and it appears to be doing the full install, copying files, configuring hardware etc and says installation complete - reboot.

When I reboot it I get my old login screen and when I enter my old login details it boots into Linpus again and all my files are still there and bookmarks etc????

I choose to overwrite the whole drive in the install???

Can anybody explain where I am going wrong?

    Thanks

Just guessing, but maybe you installed Mint on the SD card instead of the SSD. Try again, but remove the SD card before installing Mint and see if that works. If it does, then just reinsert the SD card afterward.

    Doh!!

You were right. I took the SD card out and it was all installed correctly.

    Thanks for your help.
