Problem upgrading to 9.10 - help

I have an Aspire One A150 which had been happily running Ubuntu 9.4, but I decided to upgrade to 9.10 and now I'm stuck. On reboot I get a message; [i]One or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab cannot yet be mounted[/i] I can go to recovery shell but not sure what to do from there as I'm no expert user. Any help advice appreciated. Otherwise it's find the recovery CD for linpus and start again form there :( but I'd rather get 9.10 working. Thanks
