    HI

Might have a slight problem. Had been running Windows 7 happily enough on an 1 gig ram 120 gig hard drive aa1. Shut down. Now it wont boot up. Can hear the drive spin up but doesn't even get to the option to select boot order.

Anything I can do to get it back up and running? I've left the battery out of the machine for about 10 minutes so at least the power option now works.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

    Hi

I'm having the same issue, win7 installed, I was haing problems with wifi and I restarted, but it will not boot backup.

As well I removed the battery, no joy, dosen't even boot into the bios, it seems to have went into hibernation mode

Wemt powred on, the num lock and caps lock blink, then nothing.

I'm at a loss, got it last month from asda, so just tempted to bring it back for a replacement.refund....

Worth bearing in mind that you can use this method to upgrade to the latest 3309 bios as well (which is recommended for Windows 7). Just download it and rename it as detailed in Macles post. :D

I'm running Windows 7 on BIOS v3114. No apparent problems so far. What are the problems that I should look for that would indicate that I need BIOS v3309?

Hmm, Sure I saw some posts regarding lower BIOS revisions causing install/stability problems. Maybe a red herring, but then, I always like to be on the latest anyway. I had problems with bricking with every release except 3114 and 3309.
