Problem with AME.desktop (not start)

    Hi all, I don't know why but my mail-client doesn't start. When I try to start it from terminal :

    /usr/share/applications/AME.desktop: line 1: [Desktop: command not found
    /usr/share/applications/AME.desktop: line 40: ya: command not found
    ...

    I don't understand what this mean.

    .desktop files are not executable -- they are used by the desktop to build menus. If you look inside the .desktop file, you should see a file something like

    Exec=xxx

    That's the thing you need to execute at the prompt.

    Mind you, if the desktop file is there, you should have working menu items, shouldn't you?
