Problem with Firefox 2

My new Acer One, running Linux Lite, loads Firefox 2 as though it's the first time, every time. I get the Welcome page. I can't change my home page and it either won't store bookmarks, or if it does, I lose them when I close the browser because when it next loads, it thinks it's the first time! I've never used Linux before, so it's really difficult. Advice appreciated.

 

I am not familiar with Linux Lite, but it sounds to me that if you were to use a personal profile for Firefox then it may solve your problems. Quite awhile back I wrote an article that describes the process for creating a profile for Windows Firefox, even though it is old it still works and since it is for windows instead your process will be a little different but you can get the needed information from the article.
