My pc memory fluctuate when I open programs or when I let it alone and don't move. Is rare that the memory free space every time gets lower and lower even when I am not opening any file. What is happening?

What operating system are you using, and how much RAM do you have installed?

That's how OS works... So called memory fluctuation is standard way OS manages, runs and closes applications. A lot of them works in background so you do not see them running. Memory gets lower for many reasons. Some of them could be bad way applications are written by developer - it's called memory leaks and unfortunately it is "normal" stuff... Other reason can be temporary files used by system and not cleared of RAM when they are no longer needed - only cure for that problem will be restarting machine...

I had windows vista and the memory just runs lower and lower very quick, I made restart the laptop and change to win 7 but now I have two disks, after a time the memory stop to get lower as quick as before but the problem is still there. I think that, because when I get actualizations to my Nod32 anti virus get lower more than usual, or this is normal?.
By the way the memory of disk D don't make changes very important's about memory.

We should back up and ask what is the actual problem that you are having? Are you getting errors because you are running out of memory, or are you just watching the free memory numbers?

Windows 7 has a lot of things going on in the background, and its completely normal for it to start using up memory. There's a service called 'superfetch' that actually goes out and loads things into memory that Windows anticipates you will need, which will take up memory, but the minute another program needs that memory its released back. Background services such as the search indexer and other housekeeping stuff will use idle memory (and CPU), but will give it up if a 'real' program needs it.

Well at first I thought it was because he didn't have enough ram and he/she's PC bogs down because of the superfetch. I was going to imply him to buy more ram, but it seems that maybe he might have to many processes running?

I already have checked the problem about many programs running at the same time but this is not the problem. I always check the free memory and it's going lower every time but in the past when I have windows vista at first everything was alright but some how for a virus or something the memory begins to reduce his free space at a very high rate, later I make install win7 and it's going lower but a very small rate compared with before.
