    Hello Everyone.

I bought AA1 with 120 Gb HDD & Win XP Home preinstalled. Since i am kinda new to this I seem to have a problem partitioning Hard drive.
I don't know if this is because of the Hidden recovery partition or is there some other problem? I tried with Windows, no external software.

If this can not be done with Wins can you recomend me software that can do this and keep all the data on the disk intact.

    tnx.

    B.

You need something like Partition Magic or Acronis Disk Director. Windows XP doesn't offer a non-destructive way of editing partition sizes once created.

I have tried Easeus a nice small free graphical Partitioning software - it works smoothly and fast enough. The user interface remind me to Partition Magic.

    :D

FYI, I can't use ADD on my AA1, only the partition magic works.

Yes, the free Easeus partition manager software is perfect for resizing the XP partition on the AA1. You set the size, it reboots and does the work. It takes a few minutes total.

Give Gparted a try. I have used it many times, it's free and boots from CD or USB key if you use unetbootin.

Easeus does not harm the recovery partition or the system partition. You just set the size of the parition you want, it reboots and you have a new partition.
    The data is left untouched.
