Problems with latest Skype 2.1 beta?

I hope I am not double posting here, but is anyone having problems with Skype 2.1.0.47 on Netbook Remix? :x I have been searching the net for hours to find a good setup for the laptop, as it started to produce insane static with the latest Skype version. On top of which all the other recording softwares seem to have the same static covering all recordings. The previous version was really unstable, but at least the sound wasn't covered by static. Is anyone having the same problem, or ideas of how to fix the problem?
