problems with quick time (Linpus Linux)

    Hi, all,
    Mostly enjoying my new AAO Linux except for a few things. One of them is that mplayer doesn't seem to want to play quicktime or realplayer files from time to time. For instance, from here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/arcticdino/program.html , clicking chapter 1 for quicktime brings up mplayer, it says getting playlist, it flashes on what I think is the server address of the file, and then it says "stopped". Clicking play repeats the routine. No video content is delivered. Any ideas, keeping in mind I'm a Linux noob and I'd like not to disturb any future autoupdates?

    I wasn't able to upload a screenshot, it said the file was too big.
