I just got my new Aspire 751h, and I installed all newest drivers from acer.com. Still there seems to be something badly wrong with it's USB connections:

    - I have an USB DAC (Xindak DAC-8) connected to the Acer, and after every reboot everything works just fine. But, when I set the laptop on standby and then wake it up, the sound comes crippled and is full of strange distortions. This happens with all music players I have tried; Windows Media Player, WinAmp and MediaPortal.
    - Same thing with my Logitech Harmony One remote control; after reboot the updating of settings thru USB works just fine, but after standby & wake, updating of the remote always fails.

So, what's wrong with the USB and standby?? How can I fix this, or solve the problem in more detail?

I have already connected Acer's "support" twice, but they really don't seem to care at all...

Did you have the same problem before you updated to the newest drivers? I believe the newest chipset driver may have some issues with standby...at least it seems to use more than a watt of power extra when resuming from standby. Works fine with hibernate, though.

Well I didn't try with the original (don't know what version) drivers. Maybe I should give it a shot.

BTW, what drivers do affect the funcionality of USB? "Chipset" or what..?

Would think the chipset driver is the candidate, yes. Don't know it affects USB, but you never know :)
