    Hi all

I have installed windows XP, but have a few teething issues.

Everytime I boot the computer up it shows me a blue screen saying it needs to check the FAT32 disk, I have a AAO with 1gb ram and 16gb SSD, is there anyway I can bypass this?

Also I seem to be having a problem with my expansion ports, I changed from Linux for this reason, after a few days of using the AAO the expansion ports become read only and I have to reformat them, this is becoming a big problem as I cannot store anything on them.

The SDHC card I am using is synapses 32gb I want to be able to put it inthe elft hand side and leave it there permanently to put pictures/music and films on

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Many thanks
    Jon

    Hi,
I cannot help you with your problem but perhaps you can assist me. I have a Linux AAOne, 1GB and 160Gb drive.
It is not compatible with 3G operators in France and I want to use XP. I have XP on a USB stick but I cannot boot from USB because it tells me it cannot find the USB port.
Do you or anybody else know how I can load XP?

    Hi

When I installed XP I did it off a USB pen drive, but I had to enable it to boot in the bios settings which is either F2 or F12 when the acer screen comes up on booting.

You then choose to boot from USB, this should solve your problem.

If you cannot do it from the USB Pen drive, you could try an external DVD attached to your AAO, there are a few guides in the Windows section for creating your USB ports, I had to go through it twice to get XP on my AAO but now its running smoothly

    Hope this helps
