Anyone have any idea if the wireless can be set to promiscuous mode? I can select it in Wireshark but never see any packets unless I first connect to a network (which kinda tells me that it doesn't truly go into it). Running on Linpus but more than happy to switch back to Ubuntu if it would help.

    Thanks!

    Start WireShark with sudo.

Still no luck using sudo wireshark. I can bring up ifconfig and see packets being received by wifi0 but can't capture on it. If I connect to a network ath0 shows receiving packets and I can analyze them but that doesn't help me. Both adapters show promiscous mode, so I guess that it's possible. Thanks anyways, I guess I'll take this to the wireshark forum and see what I'm doing wrong. Noob mistake I'm sure....
