It adds more security to the platform

For those updating from windows 7,8 and 8.1 you can now update using your existing
serial number.

CONS


It is a full update, and takes as long as to setup as a fresh install if not a little longer.

It contains a little more reporting back to Microsoft for those who have disabled
this, they will need to remove a little more.

Thank you for the info I've been curious about 10 for a while now. I'm still running Windows 8 and have been dreaming of updating to Windows 10.

 

Is it that big of an update? wow.

I didn't get any update notifications though. It says I'm up to date. I don't remember it installing updates or downloading them. Stupid question but... Is this an update for all Windows 10 users or just certain regions?

 

It's about the same size as the Windows 10 program, some 3gb.
