I took my AAO apart and put it back except the keyboard is a bit lifted at the edge near the screen.
I put the edge away from the screen in first.
    Is there a trick?
A repair manual would be really nice.

Check the little tabs that hold the keyboard down. When I pressed mine in they ended up going inside their little slots and not springing back. They got stuck behind their slot. If thats the case you just have to take the keyboard and fron plate piece off again and make sure the tabs are coming through their little slots.

I still can't get the tabs.

Can I use double sided tape to hold the keyboard down?

You should be able to push them back in the slots from the back with like a little flathead or something. Im sure you could use tape, but it would only be temporary at best. Not to mention ghetto. Why bother?

I will tell you the best way to fix this problem... Due to the fact that this has happened to me a couple of times now.... When the tab gets stuck inside the casing, you could try to pry it out from the back and push it back into its "hole", shall we say.. But lots of times i could not get a screwdriver back there to pop it back in place. So what you do, is you stick a screwdriver in through where the tab should be, and break the little plastic that is between where the hole for the tab is and the metal. When you break the plastic off, you can pry it back, and you can see the tab quite easily. Stick you screwdriver in and under the tab, pry upward, and the tab will pop back into place. If the broken plastic is still hanging on, push it back into place if possible. There you are, now you can put your keyboard back in. Hope this helps, can post pictures if needed.

No one will be looking under my keyboard.
The top of the keyboard rises up so that is why.
    It is not flat.

    Pictures would very helpful.

    Where is the tab?
There is a solid piece of plastic with a hole on each side.
I thought the plastic was the tab but it doesn't seem to move.

Having the same issue and would love to see pictures! I opened her up and swapped out the wifi card, but... hope to upgrade the ram before I worry about this tab issue too much. Either way, it would be very useful to see exactly what you guys mean. Thanks!

    Hi

There are Vids on youtube of how to dismantle, including removal of the keyboard, and add RAM to the Aspireone. Open youtube and search for "Aspireone"

One word of caution the inards of the SSD version are Different from the HD version when you get to removing the motherboard. There is only one screw on SSD. There are Vids of each type.

I used them to add an additional 1GB of RAM. Another word of caution, REMEMBER TO RECONNECT THE TOUCH PAD. I forgot!!!!!!!!!!

First time I put it back together I put too many screws in place before I put the layer under the kyboard back on and this pushed the keyboard up.
