Has anyone had any success installing PysolFC This has tons of solitaire and mahjong games.
    http://pysolfc.sourceforge.net/

I run into problems with ImageTK

Complete install instructions would be awesome.

Well, these are very very complex instructions, but....

    sudo yum install pysol

When it asks if it's ok, hit y. :)

It should pull in all dependencies for you.
One way to tell if a package is avaiable in rpm is to do

    sudo yum search package_name

Where package_name is the package you're looking for. This will sometimes give too many things, as it will find anything with the string (the group of letters making up the package name) in the description. For example yum install opera will give you screens of results, because opera is part of operating system.

However, yum search can be handy, and in this case, can save a lot of effort.

You'll see that this particular installation will install several other things, tk, tcl, python (which is why it's called Pysol) etc.

Did you do yum install pysol?

That's what I did without making any changes at at all to the default repos.

Yes, I tried "yum install pysol", "sudo yum install pysol", "sudo yum search pysol", all to no avail?

That is odd? Could you list the repos you have checked off as enabled?

Unfortunately, my AA1 gave the black screen today, and in a foul mood, I took it back to J&R. (My logic was also that I think I want to either wait for the 6 cell or at least get the 120 gig HDD model, so the fact that it was showing a known defect was my legitimate excuse for returning it.)

So, I can't at this point--however, I am sure that I didn't do any special enabling of any repos--the only thing I might have done was the
    sudo yum update fedora-release

Ahhh--that's a very important one. Since there were some problems with Fedora and RH servers, that one has become necesssary for yum to work.

Sorry I left that out before, glad it's working now. :)

Is there a specific command or even better did anyone here of a pysol icon directly on the Linpus desktop with the other pre-installed games? I will not let my wife go in command mode to start a solitaire game :)
