Qualcomm HS-USB-9212 in Acer Aspire One--No connection

    Qualcomm HS-USB-9212 in Acer Aspire One (ZG8)--No connection

    Just installed dual boot Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop and XP on my new Netbook. Built-in broadband wireless modem works fine in XP but doesn't connect in 9.04. The network manager applet shows in panel but no connection. I suspect a Qualcomm driver problem since it works in XP. The modem is apparently recognized by 9.04.

    lsusb output:
    bus 001 device 004:id 05c6: Qualcomm, Inc.

    Anyone have any ideas or solutions? Thanks a lot for any help or suggestions. I'd hate to think I'm stuck with Win XP. :D
