Hi all. I've just installed Moblin 2.1 for fun on my AOA150. My main OS is Ubuntu, but I wanted to try something a bit lighter that would boot quickly. Does anyone have any experience with Moblin on the One? My main question is, is there a patch like the old "acerhdf" to make the fan quiet?! I've noticed that in Ubuntu I no longer need to install the acerhdf patch as it seems to be taken care of by the kernel now (?).

    Cheers, James

I have been using Moblin 2.1 on my AAO-110 for several months now. I have never encountered any problems with the fan. It comes on occasionally as it was designed to do whenever the sensors detect the temperature rising above a certain threshold.

    Hope this helps.

    System BIOS version: v0.3109

Sorry I took so long to respond to your message.
I hardly ever have any problems with either my AAO or Moblin 2.1 so I don't frequent the forums very often.

Good luck; hope the info helps.
