Question about best ssd for my laptop- G713qm

As i researched The ASUS ROG Strix G17 G713QM-HX143 which is my laptop, equipped with a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, supports PCIe 3.0 SSDs out of the box, including its pre-installed Samsung. the weired thing is that when i asked from asus they said it supports gen 4th. Base on the information that i have in your opinion which ssd is better to buy ? Because the prices are very close 990 pro is 95 euro but it is not supported by my laptop and i can use the speed of PCI 3 and 970 evo plus is 88 euro and 980 is 77 which one i should go for?
