    Hi!

I am using a AA1 and Mac mini with only combo drive. I recently want to buy an external dvd burner, to share between aa1 and my mac mini. However, i got a question, there are region free dvd players on the market, is there also region free dvd drives on the market? because i got some different region dvds, and wanted to play them on my computer. I don't want to hack my mac's drive as I wanted to keep the warranty. What should i do? buy the external DVD drive and hack it or what?

Thank you for any suggestions ;) !

most of the dvd drives are region coded that allow 2-3 changes. there are software solutions to get around this though. Or you can get pre-modded region free hacked firmware.

seems hacking is the only solution... how about the blue ray drives? they play DVDs also, do they have this limitation too?
