    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any advice.

I have a ZG5/AOA-110 Acer Aspire One, came with Linpus Linux, 512Mb Ram and the 8Gb SSD. I eventually got fed up of Linpus and installed Windows XP on it, I knew this was going to slow it down, but wanted to make good use of the extra RAM capacity. Ordered a 1Gb stick from Crucial and installed it earlier tonight. However, the netbook is still only detecting 512Mb of RAM (BIOS).

It's late here, and it could just be that it isn't seated properly (but it certainly did click into place), so I'll take it apart and reseat it tomorrow.

I was just wondering if there are any known issues with this model that could be causing this? I presume that the RAM should be detected automatically?

    Thanks for the help!

Took the netbook apart today and reseated the RAM, it musn't have been sitting in quite right.

Netbook registering 1.5Gb of RAM now, and running significantly faster!
