    Hello there fellas

I`m about to get delivery of my new 751 (even though reading about freezing issues etc i`m confident it will work just ok) and i want to upgrade my ram module cause 1gb seems a bit small

I will run Windows 7 professional (hate the XP) so 2gb should be a fair choice

Thing is, i`m not so sure if the RAM i`m willing to buy will work with my Netbook.

Read hundreds of posts but couldn`t be sure enough , that`s why i open a new topic

My options on my list are:

    KINGSTON KVR667D2S5/2G SO-DIMM DDR2 2GB 667MHZ

or the same but with 800MHZ

What do you say? Do any of these two RAM`s cause any freezing issues?

    What would you suggest?

    Cheers

I believe the ram has issues, but not necessarily the speed. No matter if you use 667 or 800, they both get throttled back to 533...

I believe freezing may occur if the ram doesn't take well to the throttle back. And it's got nothing to do with the quality or name...

In the first few days I got 2 random freezes. I changed from 2gig 800mhz Transend to 2gig 800mhz Generic.

I've had no freezes since then...

I changed from the stock ram to the 2gig 800mhz Transend and never had a freeze.

Pretty sure that this is the ram I use.

Never had a problem with it.

There appears to be variants of the same ram product number, mine is the same product number but assembled in China and a different sub-code.
