RAM Upgrade performance

    I have heard that upgrading RAM to the 1.5 G max (via 1Gb DDR) give SIGNIFICANT performance improvement (considering only a .5Gig improvement over stock hardware). Indeed, the comments have been that it is rather blinding in performance and significantly better than you would experience with a half gig improvement on a XP Desktop or standard laptop.

    Any comments on performance improvemnt?

    You will not gain any performance increase if you can't use the 1Gig stock ram. It'll only waste electricity.

    If you're using Acer Aspire One like it's design to do, then 1gig is more than enough for your need.

    If you install tonnes of bloatware, crapware, viruses, memory hogging applications such as vmware...etc upgrading to 1.5GB will make a huge difference.
