Has anyone tried using Readybost in windows 7 to make it run faster? Witch SD slot has the best performance? Would USB be faster then the SD reader in the Aspire One?
Also what size USB / SD card would work best?

SD should be faster because the built in SD card reader uses less system resouce. Anything going through the USB will tax the cpu so having readyboost on a flashdrive sometimes might not not give you any significant gains.

In my opinion, Jack is correct. I did install a 4gb sd card when I had Win 7 running and it worked without a hitch, recognized and set up quickly and I did notice a difference. Good Luck.

There is a version of ReadyBoost for XP called eBoostR and it works better than the real thing. I'm using it with a 4gb SDHC card on my AOA-150.

Readyboost and eboostr are not quite the same. That's why I use both in Windows 7 to further increase the responsiveness of the OS.

normal. Eboostr3 sometimes causes BSOD. You can tell by the BSOD message and the process name. Eboostr3 isn't really 100% compatible with windows 7. Running Eboostr3 in either Vista/XP compatibility mode helps the stability of the program by a little bit.

So what's the situation now on using both eBoostr and ReadyBoost on Windows 7? Is the performance increase worth the possible problems?
