realplayer on aspire

    i went to realplayer website and downloaded the linux version for redhat, and its downloaded on my aspire but i cannot open or use it, what i did was after it was downloaded i right click on the "realplayer" icon then I click on "open with software installer" then "type in password" so i type in password then something else pops up to install so i click that then a window pops up saying "no packages were given for information" can anyone help me on this

    thanks for reply, my dream is to have realplayer working on my aspire like it does on my windows xp because i dont like the "mplayer" and the "download helper" i got on there at the moment and my aspire has just crashed so i will turn it of then on again and try that link you gave me
