Question... What would be considered a "reasonable" time to repair a laptop by the manufacturer? I have this question because Acer is quoting my a time of over one month to repair my one. I was reading some case law and in a case of an HP customer vs HP a jury found that a reasonable time would be three weeks. Could I claim a breach of warranty by Acer and demand a replacement One? I'm just in limbo and need some ideas of what is fair.

In the little "Passport" 1 year warranty (International Travelers warranty) book that came with my One; it states on the 3rd page:

    "Turnaround Time.
Subject to the warranty Limitations set forth below, Acer's ITW Service Centers shall endeavor to perform the services covered under the Acer ITW within five (5) business days from the day of receipt of your notebook."

It goes on after that, I just skimmed over some and didn't see much else, I have yet to read it all though.

So they will "attempt" to do it within 5 business days but they don't seem to guarantee anything. You could maybe quote that to them and ask why your will take so much longer that what they claim they will try to make it within. As far as breach of warranty, look for some legal forums or something where you can post questions, I have seen some where you can get answers from professionals and attorneys etc, just do some searching.
