I know this forum is photography and video but there is no forum for music

I just got my AOD150 up to 2 gig and tomorrow I'm installing my studio software (cakewalk) and 16 tracks of eridol

anyone interested in how it goes?

I'm running the factory windows XP and the full install of Cakewalk's SONAR 8 Producer Edition (full install) on 2 gig of ram

granted I have to tweak the OS yet (which is probably going to mean wiping the drive and installing XP pro instead of XP Home), but so far all my tests are going well

I did a mix session with 24 tracks of audio and was able to load all my plugins
The onboard audio is too weak for this application, but I have a Behringer USB audio adapter that works like a dream

This weekend I'll be running a 16 track recording session with the eridol board

luckily all the audio processing takes place on the eridol, if I was using another system I think the atom processor would take a complete dump on me

    more when I have it

16 track went without a hitch
    surprised the hell outta me

this unit might make a nice choice for a portable recording studio as long as you use external converters

I'll be running a real session on it in the next couple weeks
trial by fire let's call it

there is a band that wants to record a live show so I said this'll be a good time to test it out
