Recovery CD from Windows 7 to XP

    Today I tried to recover my AoA-150 using my recovery cds but the process stops at the format stage of the recovery process.
    I have Windows 7 on a 75 gig partition and am trying to reinstall my xp.
    The error is something like: Cannot format the partition..
    Do I have to use diskpart in Windows 7 and clean the c: partition first?

    OK (after backing everything up!), this morning I booted from the Windows 7 cd, selected repair computer, went to the command prompt and ran diskpart to clean the Windows 7 partition. The recovery process ALMOST worked (when I had to restart the computer; it wouldn't boot). So ran the recovery process again and I got the factory Windows Xp back on. BTW Windows 7 worked fine for me, I'm just going back to XP to see what I'm missing.posting.php?mode=reply&f=61&t=16919#
