    I recently purchase an AAO with Linux OS and am very pleased with it. So much, in fact, I purchased a 2nd AAO with what I thought was supposed to be Linux, but it arrived with XP instead. Can I simply use the recovery disk from the Linux netbook to restore the XP netbook to what I was expecting to receive?

    I'd do the following;

    Make a recovery disk for the XP machine, I'm assuming you can do this to restore it to factory settings the same as you can with the Linux version.

    Use the Linux recovery disk to restore the XP machine to Linux.

    If it doesn't work all you have to do is restore XP with the recovery disk you made in step 1.
