    Hello.

I created the recovery usb stick and in bios I selected to boot from usb first but the computer still loads normally (I have a problem with network manager so I need to recover). Am I missing a step? The instructions just say to insert the usb drive with recovery data and follow the instructions but nothing happens, it just loads normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Set the BIOS boot sequence so that it will allow the USB key to boot.

F2 to enter BIOS at boot time.

I did that and I also tried F12 but it still loads normally. What exactly is supposed to happen when the recovery boots?

OK If the USB is not booting then I guess that the computer you used didn't make it bootable.

The screen you should see looks like the screen you saw when you made the USB drive.

Just a question, have you got an external CD drive?
If yes, try plugging it in and booting from that.

Some machines do not seem to write the USB recovery properly ....
How did you build your USB drive?
