    Hi All,

I have a 1810TZ and I'm trying to install a new SSD drive. However, I'm not sure how I get Windows 7 on to it.

This is what I plan to do, can someone please tell me if this will go wrong.

    Partition a USB Drive

Copy and Paste a DVD copy of Windows 7 that I have for my desktop

What I'm worried about is the lack of Acer Win 7 disk, will I be able to use my other one and just input the code on the security sticker?

    Help would be so appreciate.

    Thank You

    Alex

I have read the ACER website and it informs that you can do installs from an external DVD drive. Any ideas if there is a way around this?

    HELP!

With your existing hdd, run the Acer eRecovery tool along with an external USB DVD writer to create a bootable disc set of the hidden recovery partition.

You can then do a factory restore onto your new SSD using that disc set.
