    Hi all,

WEll I appear to have done something very ridiculous; somehow while trying to install VLC by removing mplayer I've removed something in package manager that has made all Office apps, volume control, webcam, and some other stuff stop working or disappear.

My "work" window is completely empty and I can't open any documents.

Any idea what I've done and how to go about remedying it? I have some important assignments to hand in and the aspire one being my only access to a computer of any kind im in a lotof trouble.

    Thanks!

We need information about your operating system and how you removed what you did before offering information to restore the machine. Easiest thing is to add a technical summary to your profile signature field.
Meanwhile, consider booting a distro like Puppy from a usb stick to access and use your work files.
