Removing scratches from touchscreen?

    It's been a month or two since I installed the touchscreen, and since coming down to Devon on holiday it's had heavy usage.
    This has inevitably caused scratching to the screen.
    Can anyone suggest products to safely remove (fill or erode?) these scratches?

    Also, what preventative options are there to prevent this reoccuring in the future?
