I'm realizing how prone to scratches this bezel is! I guess my microfiber towel was dirty and left a bunch of fine scratches.

Either I can try to polish or find a replacement. Luckily it looks easy to replace this bezel worst case, but what are some tried-and-true methods to remove these scratches? and while we're at it, is there a place to get replacement parts aside from ebay? thanks.

    loving my new AA1!

Wish you hadn't mentioned it. Now I see scratches on my bezel as well! What torques me off more are the scratches on the top of my "blue" case. Probably caused by sliding the unit in and out of my bag. I bought a soft case for it that looks like it will prevent more scratches on the cover. Like a fool, I lost the little white bag that came with the computer.

That kind of high-gloss plastic will show scratches no matter how soft your cleaning cloth is. I use a peach texture MF cloth, I would not use the terry-towelling type of MF cloth, they are very "scratchy".

Any decent plastic polish should be able to remove the scratches. I have some "Displex" polish for removing scratches from mobile phone screens. I might give this a go.

Just tried the Displex polish on a couple of fairly noticeable scratches with great success.
