    Hi all;

    sorry for what might appear to be a daft/simple ubuntu questions, but if i try to remove software using add/remove from the menu system and it fails stating further dependencies exist try synaptic package manager what is my best way forward? Specifically VLC / evolution and pigin are the software apps i would like to remove.

    I have managed to load synaptic, but am alittle concerned about removing the abov software as I dont really understand what is dependant on the apps i want to remove?

    Thanks for any help that can be offered.
