I have the Linux 512mb with the ssd drive model. I'd like to replace the linux with XP. With only 512mb of ram, is it worth it? Will Windows be usable with that small amount of ram?

Oh! You can replace linux by xp on 512MB of RAM because Windows XP can actually run on 256MB of RAM, So you can install & run it. & If you want to install windows vista you can also install it because microsoft says that vista can run SMOOTHLY on 1GB of RAM, So you can install & run it in 512MB of RAM.

    Cheers,

You'd have to do some tweaks because the SSD is smaller and a little slower than a hard disk.
Don't install Windows Vista! You won't be able to do anything with it because it already eats up ~500MB of RAM even with no programs open. I'd recommend add another 1GB and go with Windows 7 :D

512 MB ram is enough for XP.
The problem indeed lies with the SSD; which will slow things down significanty.
