RESTORE failur on Aspire One KAV10

    I am trying to Restore the OS reinstalled on my friend's Aspire One model KAV10.

    I made a copy of the RESTORE disks, which burned 2 DVDs with the OS and 1 DVD with the Drivers and Apps.

    I installed the OS, Windows XP, onto the Netbook using an external cdrom. I did get a message stating the Installation was

    complete. I then removed the the cdrom and restarted the Netbooks. The Netbook indicated it was installing the OS. I then got a

    LOUD single buzz that would not stop. There was also a hour-glass symbol in the middle of a black screen.

    I reinstalled the OS two more times with the same results.

    Please provide any assistance on how to get the Netbook working again.

    Is there something better to do to get the OS working?
