Restore Failure

    Hard Drive crashed on Aspire One and was replaced. I ordered ACER Recovery Media to restore Windows. Hooked up external CD ROM Drive with USB, inserted System Disk and booted up. System disk ran fine and then asked for Recovery Disk. The recovery disk ran for several minutes and then crashed with this error:

    Restore Failed
    Error Code - 1117
    The request could not be performed because of an I/O error.

    Retried several times but with no success. Please help
