Restore Grub ??

    I need help to fix my grub settings, after dual booting with Ubuntu. I have removed Ubuntu , but need help fixing Linpus grub. Using a live USB I did the following :-


    sudo grub
    find /boot/grub/stage1
    root (hd0,0)
    setup (hd0)

    This has given me limited success. If I hold the <tab> button when grub starts I get the grub screen and can start Linpus. If however I dont press <tab> grub just hangs on a blank screen>

    If anyone has any ideas on fixing this I would be most gratefull.
