azz2811 is correct it is does function both as a left and right mouse button.

I do find it very difficult to use so I use the touch pad instead. You can tap or double tap the track pad to simulate a left click or double click. I also downloaded an app from google so that the track pad will recognize multi-touch gestures. This allows me to use two finger scrolling and a two finger tap for right click. I rarely use the trackpad buttons any more.

    Here's the link:
    http://code.google.com/p/two-finger-scroll/

You'll need to disable the "pinch" function for the synaptics driver if you want to use two finger scrolling.

Also, within the google app you'll need to configure the multi-touch option under the "tapping" tab. You can use single tap, two finger tap, two + 1 finger tap or three finger tap.
