You gotta change your resolution to 1024x768. The game is too old to support the native resolution of the AAO - 1024x600. Try it

What exactly do you mean it failed? I don't know much about Windows 7, but I'm 100% sure there is an option for you to change to resolution to 1024x768.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. So, I want to tell that the Windows 7 is beta & its uses the intel pre realease wdm beta drivers, So because of this the WINDOWS 7 Does not change the reso from 1024x600 to 1024x768. Then about the game, so when the game starts it shows the big huge official videos & then says this message -

"Graphics services failed to initialize. Please make sure that your video card and drivers are correctly installed, and are compatible with Rise Of Nations."

So, i'm saying that is there any option to change the game resolution from 1024x768 to 1024x600 or 800x600. & If you can know or find a way to do this, PLEASE TELL ME.

    Thanks,
    xkiller

Since Windows 7 doesn't allow it, I guess your only option is to revert back to XP.
