If you want to Run Cooler!
with better airflow

Remove the Ram cover
and the wifi cover

Then REMOVE that CHEEP USELESS plastic screen you see glued over the vent slots!

and replace the covers!

and if you take your acer apart you will see this same CHEEP plastic screen crap over all the cooling slots in the bace of your acer
REMOVE it !
all it does is Restrict Airflow in your acer

then put it all back together Your acer will be a "Cooler acer" !

 

that does sound like a great idea, BUT i have dogs and they shed, A LOT!.

you'll be surprised i have found dog hair in, so i may just have to live with the heat.

I know exactly what you mean! I have two bricked PS3s, took them to an authorized repair center, and they pulled out a 10"x8"x4" pile of pet hair, dust, and who knows what out of one of them alone!

I live in Vegas with 4 dogs and 3 cats, so I'm going to have to rig up filters on all electronic components with active cooling in my house. Anyone have ideas for a good static free filter material?

 

just maintence "clean" my pc's EVERY 6 to 8 months need it or not.
I smoke 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 packs a day and have Long hair cats.
i did this with 3 of the acers and thay are ALOT cooler now and Quiet.
the fans stay at low most all the time now
and go to hi speed seldomly only when im converting a dvd to Xvid or Divx.

Hey Radioman, sounds like some really nice mods on your one. Have you posted them here, and where did you get a clear case for your One? Thanx....Tom

 

Just google "Aspire One clear case" and you'll get several products. Mostly for the 8.9" model, but presumably the other models are there from places like Newegg and such.

Sounds good on paper, but in practice I'd think it would look a little boring. I mean, its just circuit boards in there... On the plus side it would hide the fingerprints better.
