My AAO went black screen of death on me, and despite following the directions to flash the BIOS, it still won't respond to anything.
I'm wondering, is it possible to salvage the screen from the AAO and use it as an external monitor for another machine? I have a touch panel on it, and I'm thinking that if I can, I'll attach it to a different netbook and get cracking on a dual-screen machine. Thanks for any info!

I have not heard that anyone identified all the LCD wires.

Would seem easier to change the motherboard.

    Check you PM.

Although that would be freakin' cool.
If the touchscreen was touch sensitive I would freakin turn it into a drawing tablet.

Isn't the LCD wires standard LVDS connectors? The pannel should be plug and play using supported video cards with LVDS connector. It's similar to DVI where you just plug it in and it works.

Try the AOA technical manual on this site. It has details of nearly everything.
