I have been trying all day to follow different tutorials to set up a connection between the One and my Vista laptop.
The idea was to use samba to be able to use the external hard drives that are connected to my One from the Vista laptop, maybe even the printer.
So far I got nowhere. I keep running into problems. I tried adding a user with useradd but there is no such thing on the One apparently. Am I even doing the right thing?
Why is it soooo complicated for a newbie to get access from a vista machine onto the One?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about Samba but you must be root to run /usr/sbin/useradd
    In a terminal try:

    su -
    useradd --help

    Hope this helps.
