    Dear Forum,

I own an Acer Netbook Aspireone 722.

Today, when using the scroll function on the touchpad, parts of the screen disappear.

To try and explain it: The toolbars in programmes like Word and Firefox near the top of the screen disappear.

If you use 'alt and tab' to switch between windows, for example to the desktop and back again, the toolbars reappear.

Moreover, if you run the mouse cursor over the toolbars without clicking a button, the reappear gradually.

Can anybody tell me what is wrong?

Many thanks in advance, and this is my first post so please go easy on me :)

    Best regards,

    Harryredknapp

hard to say whats wrong exactly but its a software problem for sure. try re installing your display drivers. if that doesn't work try a virus scan with a good antivirus.
the only thing i can think of that will help for sure is a fresh OS install but that should be a last resort unless you have the time and have a way of backing up all your data first

Sounds like you've bumped the F11 key and put Firefox into full screen mode, pressing F11 again will put it back into normal mode.

If that doesn't work, try right-clicking the Intel graphics app and check to make sure it's "stretching" your screen to fill the panel, as opposed to "panning"

Thanks for the help. Reinstalling the ELAN driver did the trick!
