Native resolution for the display is 1024 x 600.

This may have already been answered, but I could not find a reference. Everytime I reboot, the screen resolution returns to 1024 X 600, even though I had previously changed and applied a setting of 800 X 600 in the Control Panel. Getting on in years, I require the larger size to read the screen. It's more an annoyance than anything else, but is there some way to permanently set the screen? Thanks.

You're lucky, I can't even change my resolution-stuck on 800x600! On xp, display properties/settings and the little slider thing wont move to change it! Most annoying as I'm missing some info on some sites!
    Any ideas anyone?

I believe that 800x600 is XP's default resolution unless a graphics drivers says otherwise. People who want to make their screen look right need ti install the correct drivers(available on Acer's website).

As for the user who wants to keep it at 800x600 - I'm sorry I don't know how to help you. Ive never had a situation where that was needed.
